Froots Smoothies has assembled a highly motivated team of restaurant and franchise professionals. We have the depth, industry knowledge, leadership and teamwork necessary to support both our current and future growth.

David Lopez- Founder & Chairman of the Board

David founded the company in December of 2000. Mr. Lopez and his wife Jennifer Lopez ran the first three stores in Orlando, Florida. He serves as our CEO. Prior to Froots, Mr. Lopez was an Implementation Analyst for Convergys Corporation, a data management company. Mr. Lopez is a member of the Nova Southeastern University Entrepreneur Council where he assists the university in the development of the franchise curriculum for the Huizenga School of Business. Mr. Lopez went to the University of Central Florida and Majored in Business Finance.

 

Charlotte Russell –President
Prior to accepting her current position with FROOTS Franchising, Inc. as President, Charlotte Russell served as the EVP of Franchise Development and currently is a FROOTS Area Director from March 2007 to present. Prior to that time she served as Vice President of 123 Fit Services, LLC from May 2006 to March 2007. Before that Ms. Russell was the President of Quiznos Canada from February 2004 to September 2005. Prior to that time she was the Executive Vice President of Quiznos Canada from January 2002 to January 2004. From 2000 to 2001, Ms. Russell was the Vice President of Development for Quiznos Master, LLC. From 1996 onward, Ms. Russell was the owner of several profitable and successful Quiznos franchise locations.

Scott Miller - Vice President of Operations
Scott comes to us having served for 23 years in the food service industry. He has spent 10 years in the full service arena both in family dining and five star fine dining. Scott spent five years in operations at the Franchise Corporate level, then two years on a team responsible for the development and establishment of a QSR food concept. The last six years he has been a franchisee himself.

Eric Myers – Chief Marketing Officer
Eric comes from a strong background in Financial Advising & Real Estate. Eric received his degree in finance at Western Illinois University. He got his start with FROOTS as a franchisee in Austin, TX where he resides. After some time he accepted a position with FROOTS to further his career. He is in charge of our corporate marketing programs, brand strategies, internet marketing, social media marketing, special initiatives and more.



Chris DeAntonio - International Operations
Chris DeAntonio is the Senior Director of training and International Operations for FROOTS Franchising Companies, Inc. Mr. DeAntonio first started working with FROOTS in 2003 as the Director of Operations when the first FROOTS in-line store was opened. He was responsible for the day to day operations, management, staffing, training and support for this first store as well as the three subsequently opened company owned stores. Once FROOTS began franchising in 2004 and sold its company owned stores, Mr. DeAntonio became responsible for all Franchisee Training as well as Store Support. Prior to his employment with FROOTS, Mr. DeAntonio worked for Taco Bell corporate as a multi-unit store manager from 1996 through 2003 and from 1991 through 1996 he was a Regional Operations manager for Everything Yogurt and Salad Café - a 250 unit chain.

David Lewis - Senior Franchise Business Consultant
Mr. Lewis has been a restaurant operator for 22 years. He has worked in an executive environment with Chipotle, CiCi’s Pizza, Clayton’s and Renaissance Grille. As Senior Franchise Business Consultant his focus will be on enhancing FROOTS training systems, executing new restaurant openings, training new owners, research and development of new menu items and providing ongoing operational support to the entire FROOTS community.

Brian Tollefson- Special Projects and Construction
Brian Tollefson is responsible for the planning, design and construction of custom Froots store models. Prior to joining Froots, Mr. Tollefson founded Indigos Smoothies and was the President / CEO from June 1999 to July 2009. Mr. Tollefson has a degree in Business Administration / Management and has been involved in the quick-serve restaurant industry for over 15 years.

Brian Evans- Creative Director
Brian has experience in many forms of media including Graphic Design, Video Production, and Photography. He has a strong background in creative advertising and visual communications. As Creative Director he will ensure that the visual, creative and advertising demands of a rapidly expanding company are being handled efficiently and with regard to company objectives.
